Glider rocket

description

The body is a 1,25 liter bottle, There are 3 plastic fins and the recovery system is 2 spreaded wings.

This wing are made of an aluminium pipe (dia 6mm) for the leading edge, which is articulated at the base of the nose cone, a sheet of plastic (cut in a garment bag of dry-cleaner's). This sheet is glued on the side of the rocket and on the aluminium pipe. The plastic is not glued directly on the pipe, but it is folded back on the pipe and glued with an adhesive tape. A flap is glued on the plastic sheet, at leading edge level. This flap is neccessary to protect the folded wing during the ascent. It is kept close before the launch by an inverted T, you can see a sketch bellow. (This is an idea of a swedish gay, but I don't remember who. If you know him, please let me know).
